About:Welcome to [info]10hugs, another one of those theme communities that have become so popular, and are so addicting. This basically is a challenge to create ten fanfics or fanarts connected to 10 different themes! it was inspired by communities such as [info]30_kisses (the original XD), [info]endless_future, etc.

The Basics:

-Why only 10? Because I know that I, for one, have trouble finishing 50 themes. 10 is a nice round number that is much easier to aim for than 25, 50, or 100.
-Why is it called "10hugs"? Because each fanfic or fanart must somehow include a hug. it can be by the main character/s, or it can be mentioned, or whatever you want to do!
-Do I have to take a pairing? No you dont! If you want, you can take a pairing. However, a single character works just fine. Just make sure that you dont make write that character in the same pairing in every single fic. You must have at least 3 different pairings (or ones with no pairings at all) if you choose to do a character.

The Rules:

1. You are allowed to claim up to 2 characters/pairings, each from a different fandom. There will be one person per character/pairing per set, and there will be two sets. Which means that once the character/pairing is gone for both sets of themes, no one else will be allowed to claim it until the people have completed their claims. Once they're done, they'll be put back up for claiming.

2. To request your character/couple, reply to THIS POST. Put "Request" in the header, and put the following information in your post:

3. Please try to post at least 1 theme a month. There are only 10, so hopefully thats not too much to ask. Some of the claims are from popular series, so try to free them up as soon as you can. If you have not posted anything for 2 months without a good reason (which there arent many of), then I may have to take away your claim. So please, just try to be semi-consistant.

4. If you want to drop your claim for some reason, please reply to THIS POST. Also, if you finish your claim as well, please reply to the same post so you can get a winner's banner and the claim can be opened again.

5. The themes can be done in whatever order you want. However, they all must somehow contain a hug. I dont care how you do it, but there must be a hug in it somehow.

6. When posting your fanfic/fanart, please put the following in your header:

[Fandom: Character/Pairing, Set #] Theme

Since all fics will be archived, this will make my life so much easier, and make it easier for you all to browse entries.

7. When submitting your works, please use the following format:

Rating: (include any warnings here)
Word Count: (optional.)
Disclaimer: (since we sadly dont own any of the characters that will be used here)

Also, make sure your story is in a cut. If you dont know how to use a cut, the format is:

Without the * of course.

8. Any rating is acceptable here as long as it is properly labeled. Lemon, fluff, angst, any genre is okay too. Please use the movie rating scale (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) for your ratings.

9. You may select a character or pairing from any series or book or movie. It doesnt have to be anime or manga, though I'm sure thats what the more popular category is going to be. Pairings can be het, yaoi, or yuri. Threesomes will be allowed too, but nothing more than that.

10. You may only use one theme per submissions. No doubling up themes. After all, there are only 10 of them, which means you should be able to create 10 different works.
