Welcome to

10_sues, where you, too, can become a Suethor! That's right, kids, you can create an impossibly perfect and beautiful-in-every-way character to stick into your favouritest fandom so that any character of your choice will fall head over heels in love with him/her...and then kill him/her with FIRE, for this community is for you lovely and talented writers (we KNOW you exist, dammit) to write your very own Mary Sue to mock and berate the Suedom.

This community works like all the other prompt communities (i.e.; we offer prompt tables that will (hopefully) inspire you to write), except we specialise in the Mary Sues. More specifically, the parody-ing of Mary Sues.

You can make her incredibly over-the-top or you can make people within a certain fandom just not get the attraction, or you can even mock self-insert fics if you feel up to it. Hell, Sue-ifying a canon character is fine too. You can make the other characters be canon or fanon. Anything goes, as long as it's a parody of a Mary Sue fic.

We're all about having fun, so if you take your Sue seriously, this might not be the best place for you. :)

Obligatory disclaimer: We would like to make VERY clear that we are not here to bash existing authors or mock them and their characters; there are already plenty of places to do that.

Mary Sue / Gary Stu / Marty Stu
A character who is the author in disguise. Normally a Gary/Mary/Marty is the hero of the story, all the characters fall in love with him/her, s/he is outrageously fabulous and beautiful and powerful. While there are some interesting and well-written Mary Sues, generally they are not very good.
