Welcome to "10 Quotes from the Greatest Movies Ever" (

10_quotes)! :)

This is a friendly, low pressure community for writers to develop their writing skills. This community was inspired by communities such as

30_cuddles,

10_inspirations or

10_what_ifs.

The deal is to pick a pairing/character of your choice, and write 10 fics about them. BUT, the twist is you have to write them around the specific prompts you have chosen, which are quotes from the AFI's current list of 100 Greatest Movies.

Rules:

1. Join the community! :)

2. Stake a claim here. Any and all fandoms are welcome (crossovers welcome)! To see which pairings/characters have already been claimed, check here. You can have up to two claims at one time.

3. Choose your quotes here (movies #001-051) and here (movies #051-100). You can mix and match as much as you like. Just remember that you have to write a different context for your quote, as the whole point is to (recognizably, if possible) use the same words in a completly different situation.

4. Post your stories (length minimum required for each is 250 words)! This community is low pressure time-wise, but I may give you a gentle reminder if you haven't posted anything after three months.

5. Once you're done, post in the Hall of Fame so you can get your banner!

6. Feedback is wonderful, but it should always be constructive. We're here to help and encourage each other! So, please, NO flaming!

7. Please post your story under a cut. No fake cuts, please! I ask this because

10_quotes is a community. By definition, a community is a group of people in one location, sharing similar interests and a fellowship. If an author leads readers away from the community to read his/her story, we will lose this!
