Inspired by those lovely communities like

fanfic100 and

100_situations, this community does involve fanfic. And letters. Writing letters from the point of view of your chosen character to be precise. So come on in, join the community and get started!

Q U I C K L I N K S

C L A I M S

1. Join the community. If you do not join before you make your claim I will not approve your claim and delete it.

2. Choose your fandom (books, television, movies, anime, etc.) and make your claim HERE.

3. You may claim in two ways:
a. One character (general) - That single character writing letters to anyone
b. Two characters (couple) - Both characters write back and forth to each other only

Note: No original characters are being accepted at this time. It's not really a challenge to write a letter from the perspective of someone you created that no one knows.

While this is called 10 Letters, you may choose to write more. You'll need to pick from the tables HERE. There are several 10s, 30s, 50s, and even a 100 available if you're really ambitious.

P O S T I N G

Once your claim is accepted you will be given posting access and a unique tag. Please always use this tag so that when I do community cleanup I don't miss your posts and think you're inactive.

1. Give your letter an appropriate rating for its content, especially if it has questionable content.

r a t i n g s
G - No sex, violence or offensive material.
PG - A very small bit of violence and language.
PG-13 - May contain moderate violence and some stronger language, but nothing too graphic. Sexual themes may be implied, but are not explicit.
R - May contain strong language, heavy violence, or some heavier sexual content.
NC-17 - Absolutely for adults only. Likely contains extreme violence, strong language and/or explicit sexual content.

2. Please use the Author's Note to indicate if your letter contains any triggering content.

3. Spelling and grammar. LJ provides spellcheck. Use it.

4. There is no word count limit. But please make the letters more than 100 words.

5. It is not necessary to write letters in the order they appear in your chosen table. I'm an alphabetophile so they will all most likely be alphabetical order. Do them randomly or in order. Up to you!

Note: Keep in mind that staying in character is the name of the game. What would your character think or feel about the topics in the table? Who would they be writing to about the topics?

Note: Letters should all clearly state to whom they are written. Each one should begin with the recipient's name in the greeting. You may write more than one letter to the same person if you wish.

D R O P P I N G

If you have become disinterested in your claim for any reason, please post HERE. I will periodically perform a community clean up and if I do not see anything posted for your claim in the 2 months before I do the clean up, I will assume you've dropped the claim.
