First step:
Pick one or more subjects. Original (non-fandom) character/story of your own creation, or really strong AUs (fandom based) are welcome here. Please, no fandom oriented self inserts of any sort - stories based on those are not AUs. (In other words, "what if original-character-x attended hogwarts while harry and co. were there?" is not an au, it's an insert. don't quibble about the 'self' part, it's still an insert. "what if harry had been sorted into slytherin?" is an au.)
And yes, you can have more than one going at a time. There's no time limit, you can take however long you want, and if you really want to (for instance) do two AUs and an original story all at once (that's three hundred prompts, one hundred each) then go for it. Saner minds will watch in awe at your mad creativity. ^_^
Have a subject in mind? Go here and introduce yourself and your world.
Part the Second:
For each subject you picked in step one, compose 100 themed prompts. Written prose, illustrations, comics, whatever your medium of creativity is. Create, compose, write, draw, post, share.
The trick? There's a theme to each of the hundred. The trickier trick? There are several possible themes to each of the hundred. For each number you may pick any one of the possible prompts. Once you choose a prompt you may not use the other themes for that number that you didn't use for the same set of 100 (unless you sneakily use them for one of your free choice slots, or find a duplicate prompt under another number) Example - your choices for #80 are "face to face", "stand tall", "balance" and "why". If you choose "stand tall" then "face to face", "balance" and "why" are out. Basically, for each storyline there is one prompt for each number.
Interpretation of themes? Is really loose. Really.
*** PROMPT LISTS ***
Being the Third Number:
...Actually, there is no number three. That's all there is to it. Pick subject(s), pick prompt(s), create, share. And have fun! ^_^
You have no idea how close this came to being named "YATC" (Yet Another Theme Community). Tables two and three are borrowed from other 100 prompt coms - I claim no credit for them. Table one is made up of bits and pieces from other lists, quotes, games, and itunes.
