the prompt was, "let me carry you..."

“Let me carry you over the threshold.”  Shine said to Kat.

“Don’t be silly, we’re not newlyweds.” Kat grinned at his partner.

“It’s our first house, and I want to carry you over the threshold.” Shin’s smile promised mischief.

Kat laughed “Okay, but if you throw your back out we can’t christen the new bed.”

Shine scooped him up a fireman’s carry and charged through the house.  Laughing, he dropped the taller man on the bed.  Before he could pounce on the other man he froze abruptly, “Oh no, my back’s out!”   He laughed at Kat’s stricken face. “Just kidding!”

"Hey, Kevin?" Allen nudged his study partner.

"Hmm?" Kevin stopped chewing the end of his pen.

"What's the answer to number forty-two?"

Kevin looked at his paper. "You've got it wrong."

Allen rolled his eyes. "That's why I'm asking you."

"No, you should have asked, ‘What's the question to forty-two.’"

Allen stared at Kevin for a long moment before realization struck him like a flying toaster approaching mach three.

"Dork." He snorted, stifling his smile and tried once again to solve the difficult equation himself.

"What is six times nine?"

Allen gave up and beat Kevin mercilessly with a pillow.

So, soso, me...

User Name:
 [info]shawnny

What should we call you?
Even though everyone calls me Shawn, I like to be called Juanito, which is kind of my name in Spanish, or I shall say, my twisted version of it in Spanish.

Favorite Genre:
It goes from fantasy to realistic. I'm more into the realistic, however, like many people I enjoy writing fantasies because it's healthy, to my belief, to let let the imagination run wild in Imagy Nation.

Do you have a separate writing journal?:
I don't. But i do have Icons & recipes if anyone is interested in changing some cukoo cooking.

What would you like us to know about you?
I love writing, but I don't always have the time. It's also a little difficult for me because English is my second language (Spanish is my first) and sometimes I really mess up. I'm a very liberal writing, meaning that sometimes I just get a bit freaky in my writing and sometimes caries away; I will try not to. Other than that, I'm a pretty happy person and i love reading other people's work and criticize positively and I also appreciate the same action back. I like reciprocity. I enjoy art a lot and abstract action painting is my favorite style. One of my favorite artists is Jackson Pollock and I admire his work. But, you people will see how easy I am to interact with. ;)

7 of 510 Prompt: The Pleasure’s Secrets

7 of 510 Prompt: The Pleasure’s Secrets
100 words

She undulated in his arms struggling to touch him. His hands worked magic on her body teasing her mercilessly as she pleaded for him to take her. When he did, he took her body, he took her mind, and he took her soul.

He left her sleeping deeply before dawn, a lovely vision all tangled in the sheets. He smiled well satisfied himself. She now belonged completely to him. Just like so many other women before her, only looking for a good time, they don’t recognize a predator when they see one.

Pleasure is a powerful tool in the wrong hands…

5/510, The Snow of the Dying

5/510, prompte: The Snow of the Dying
100 word drabble

The white cherry blossoms floated everywhere in the park. They covered the ground in abundance, well over an inch or more thick in some places. The park looked more like a winter wonder land than a spring celebration. Unseen Zephyrs played amongst the falling flowers petals, delighting themselves and onlookers with their cleaver antics.

The snow white blossoms that smelled so sweet and held the promised autumn’s abundance of fruit now lay dead on the ground. Slowly they turned brown as people walked on them and cars drove over them. Their once sweet sent was now the stench of rot.

4/510 The Misty Flight

4/510 The Misty Flight
word count 100

Cricket was cleaning the flowers in the church yard and wanted to get the last row done before leaving for his home under the hedges near the bridge. It was almost morning, but he thought he had plenty of time. He was wrong.

The warm morning sun shine flooded the little valley and pushed the night’s fog ahead of it faster than poor Cricket could fly. Caught in the fog, he could barely see where he was going and the dew clung to his tiny wing making them heavy.

Cricket was one tired fairy when he got home that morning.

The Petals' Kisses

A 100 word drabble
Prompt: The Petals' Kisses (1/510 challenge)
(ask me if you are interested in the table)

“Do not linger in the tiger’s field.”

“Why not”

“The tigers will eat you, of course.”

“What a foolish bunch of villagers you are.” He could see no tigers in the field, only tiny orange flowers.

The villagers just rolled their eyes, and walked away, unwilling to waste time on fools.

And so he took himself to the field to take a nap. He dreamed soft orange flower petals were kissing him all over, even his most intimate places. They felt so good he didn’t notice the leaves twining firmly around his limbs until the tiger lilies started eating him.

'a new start' & 'arti critic'

Methinks I'm a bit rusty. Second one has a bit of a ramble before the actual drabble.

(She thinks of times beneath a tree, things drawn in the leaves: the peace of forests in the ruins of Babel...)

(She examines the figure with a critic’s eye...)
