Sweat pooled in the small of her back as she lay on the bed. The air around her shimmered with heat. The breeze coming from the window did nothing to cool her. She closed her eyes as she remembered how she’d gotten this way.
The Bronze, dancing, Xander and Anya, Willow and Tara. And Giles. No, not Giles, Ripper. Pulse pounding music, bodies gyrating together, molding together as if made for each other.
A kiss, sultry and passionate, hungry and desperate. Hands, his strong, powerful hands gliding over her body. An escape, rushing out the door to his car, driving while recklessly pawing at each other.
His flat, a frantic search for the key while devouring each other. Clothes torn from bodies, a quick coupling against the wall. Being carried in his arm, wrapping her legs around him, another round on the stairs. Making it to the bed, laughing and whispering. Slow and languid this time, letting her set the pace. Looking down at him and realizing she was in love with him.
The memories just made her hotter, stirred her desires. And as he appeared in the doorway she realized how much she enjoyed the heat.
