Community Profile

Welcome to 100 Leitmotifs, another little themely challenge community. This one is slightly different, so please make sure you read the rules thoroughly before joining.

This community is for both writing and artwork, either is fine.

1. When joining, members may choose up to 3 characters from any TWO sources. These sources may be anime, TV shows, books, movies, original works, whatever. You may take one or two characters as well, whatever floats your boat. (But you may not take more than three.) NOTE: If you take three characters, someone else may claim one or two of them. (For example, someone may choose to take Roy, Havoc and Hawkeye from Full Metal Alchemist. Someone else may then take Havoc and Hawkeye. And then someone else entirely may decide only to write about Hawkeye. All three are permitted.)

To request characters, please see this post. Do not post to the community asking for characters, your post will be deleted and ignored if you do so.

2. 100 themes are listed below. Whatever you do, story or drawing or whathaveyou, the theme must somehow be included. (Metaphorical is just as acceptable as literal.) You may either use all 100 themes for each fandom you've chosen, or you may divide them between the two. (And you may divide them however you like. If you want to write 30 stories about Naruto and draw 70 pictures from Yu-Gi-Oh, you're free to do so.)

3. You may also choose a leitmotif (a reoccuring theme) if you want. (Though this is not required.) A leitmotif is an underlying theme that will reappear in all of your submissions, no matter which challenge you've submitted on. (For example, someone may somehow include clouds in every drawing they submit or include a flashback to the past in a story, etc.)

4. Pairings and romance are not required. They're not discouraged either, if that's your cup of tea. Your submissions must include all the characters that you claim, in some manner, but you do not have to have them romantically involved if you don't want to.

5. Please attempt to post at least once a month. Members who fail to do so will lose their claims.

6. Homophobia and heterophobia are not welcome here. In fact, no hatred of any sort is allowed. You're free to dislike certain characters, pairings, stories, artwork, fandoms, etc, but keep it out of this community.

7. If you don't like something and can't give constructive feedback, then don't say anything at all and just hit the back button.

8. When presenting artwork, please either thumbnail your art when posting to the community or put it behind an lj-cut or just link to it directly. Likewise, if your story is overly long, please lj-cut it at some point.

9. If your story or artwork contains controversial or sexual material, it must be put behind an lj-cut with proper warning to community members.
