It might hit the fan soon.
OK, I played an online mystery back in 2001 that was a direct tie in to the movie AI. It's members were called Cloudmakers. If you go to www.cloudmakers.org and look under the section other games you'll see that JJ has made an online mystery for alias in the past. I truly feel that he is doing the same for this movie. The game took months and had MANY different aspects, actual phone messages with characters from the game, e-mails sent to players with hidden messages, and what started it all were hidden items in the AI trailer and hidden numbers in the AI movie poster. We might want to get crackin on finding that movie poster and getting a better look at it as well.

Hope I'm right about the level that this game might become.
One last thing, do we have yet, or can we make, an "official" game forum in one site, I can't stand looking @ 5 different sites to get the news on the game, this will really help if things get hectic.

Well speaking of numbers, has anyone tried fiddling with the timestamp numbers on the photos at the 1-18-08 official website? Addition, subtraction? It's probably nothing, but I'm just remembering that a lot of people were figuring out that the Lost Numbers added up to 108 before we found out about the button, and that number, as Lost fans will know, figured pretty heavily in the second season.

I point you towards Unfiction.com; they are the go-to specialists in following ARGs and have already set up a section in their forums for the Cloverfield mystery.

The Unfiction forums follow a multitude of ARGs that are going on all the time.

If you ever wanted to relive an experience like The Beast there are loads to dip into right now.

Also, since Unfiction are considered the central source of ARG discussion, I think creating yet another place for people to go to would only dissipate the fanbase more.

As others have already commentated, you can visit the 1-18-08 ARG on Unfiction:
