Anybody here into Esser? He's a great artist from the UK that I'm really getting into lately. He's got influences of Morrisey and The Streets. I think you guys will love his stuff!! Check him out!

This is his video for "Headlock" (my favorite track off the album):

Watch it here!

And here's the video for "I Love You" (another great song):

Watch it here!

You into it yet? Check Esser out on Myspace!

Here is a new band to check out if you like rock-- think Motley Crue, Slipknot, Korn, etc.

A little bit about the band--
"In front of a capacity crowd at the world famous Whisky A-Go-Go, complete with music industry tastemakers, Guitar Center and Mötley Crüe selected The Last Vegas from Chicago, IL, as the winner of Guitar Center On-Stage last night. Over the past eight weeks, bands across the United States submitted their music at makerockhistory.com. From close to 8000 submissions, 30 semi-finalists were selected, which were then narrowed down to the six top undiscovered bands in the country, with The Last Vegas prevailing as the one band chosen for the ultimate, career altering opportunity — the chance to open on tour for rock icons, Mötley Crüe."

• Nate Arling (drums)
• Adam Arling (guitar)
• Chad Cherry (lead vocals)
• Johnny Wator (guitar)
• Danny Smash (bass)

Here is a link if you want to check out their website & listen to some of their music!!

Interview EXCERPT:

SofaChip: Many of your songs seem substantially serious in some way (tonally or lyrically, not always both), but if one watches you on YouTube.com it would appear that you’re actually a tremendously lively and fun kind of guy. As a musician, is it difficult to walk the line between gravity and levity? Do you ever worry about being painted as too solemn of a guy?

Ben Arthur: Great. Question. I don’t worry about being painted anything, as that’s not something worth worrying about, but I do think about the seemingly contradictory nature of what I do.  (...)

cheerful

So I don't know who all here has heard of Tristan Prettyman, she's an acoustic artist from San Diego and she's pretty amazing. Some people compare her to, or call her "The Female Jack Johnson", so if anyone here is a Jack fan, then you'll like her for sure. She's released two full albums, the first was called "t w e n t y t h r e e" and the second one that was recently released is called "Hello...x". She also released "The Love EP" which is good as well. Anyway, you should all give her a listen if you don't know her, you won't be disappointed. She's also up for a VMA ;)

Her myspace: http://www.myspace.com/tristanprettyman
Her Website: http://www.tristanprettyman.com

She's also currently on tour with G.Love and The John Butler Trio. :)

Check it out and let me know what you think if you give it a listen here's a link to follow for her myspace and website
